Gerald Lyles ’64 Remembers His Favorite Hangouts and Memories

Thanks to Gerald Lyles ’64 for answering our survey! We asked him about his favorite place to go in West Lafayette, his favorite college tradition, and where life since Purdue has taken him. Here’s what he had to say:

Where was your favorite place to go in West Lafayette, why was this place so special to you?

Basketball games with fraternity brothers to watch up to five members of the house play.

What was your favorite event, tradition, or activity to partake in during your college years? Why was it so important to you? Do you still engage with that event, tradition, or activity?

Fiji Island.  Homecoming.  Fun to turn the house in to an entirely different environment.  Homecoming brought the campus alive with decorations in front of housing units.

As an alum, what do you see as the most valuable part of your FIJI experience?
