Friends that have Lasted Lifetimes, All Thanks to Phi Gamma Delta

When we talk about Phi Gamma Delta , some of the first things that may come to mind are the connections that were made through your years as an undergrad. We recently reached out to our graduate brothers asking what those connections have meant to them over the years, read on to see what Ed McCormick ’58 had to say.

Class of 1958, left to right, Ed McCormick, Dick Reed, Bill Jones, Jim Hilderbrand. We met as Fiji-Purdue PB’s and became life long friends. And as senior adults met and played golf together in Naples, FL, every year for about the last 15 years. And Herb Wilken, non golfer, and our wives, always joined us for a reunion dinner. Sadly, that has now ended, with the death of Dick this past summer and poor health, golf wise, of a couple other unnamed members of the foursome. 😊

The Fiji-Purdue experience, and resulting life long friends, is a treasured highlight of my life.
